Sun. Oct. 25 - Sun. Nov. 1 Havana

Overview

People-to-People travel to Cuba is an act of solidarity and resistance.

As the U.S. government continues to intensify its economic war against Cuba, traveling to the island, listening to Cuban people, learning from their experiences, and bringing humanitarian aid are concrete acts of solidarity that challenge a policy built on isolation and collective punishment.

Join Global Exchange for a Health and Wellness-focused People-to-People Solidarity Delegation to witness the realities of life under the U.S. blockade and stand alongside Cuban healthcare professionals, practitioners, educators, therapists, and organizers working to protect the health and well-being of their communities.

We will learn directly from those navigating the blockade’s devastating impacts, including healthcare professionals struggling to provide care while critical supplies remain out of reach.

We will visit a hospital and polyclinic to hear from healthcare workers confronting shortages that affect more than 100,000 people awaiting surgeries, treatments, and therapies, including 12,000 children.

No gauze. No sutures. No IV kits. No antibiotics. The list goes on.

We will meet with people working across health, wellness, and therapy to understand how they are navigating the tightening sanctions and the human and professional costs of these policies.

We will also move through community spaces alive with art and cultural traditions, visit an organic farm to explore food sovereignty as an act of resistance, and travel into the countryside to learn how communities beyond Havana are confronting the realities of sanctions.

And we will carry humanitarian aid directly to the Cuban people. Each delegate will bring supplies as part of our collective effort to meet urgent needs created in part by the blockade.

Come see what the blockade means in people’s lives. Come listen. Come stand with Cuba. And come prepared to speak the truth about the policies coming out of Washington.
