We are horrified by yet another tragic mass shooting, this time in Parkland, Florida. We hold the families and friends of the17 senselessly murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the light.

We are outraged that these horrors are happening ever more frequently and that a majority of our elected officials refuse to take the steps needed to get weapons of war off our streets and out of our schools.

There have already been 18 cases of gunfire at schools in 2018. This is not normal.

We urge you to take action (again) to call for gun sanity. We cannot continue this cycle of mass shooting, shock, grief, demands for gun control, lip service and stalling by Congress, non-action, another tragic mass shooting, repeat. Enough is Enough!

We must demand that American leaders, from the halls of Congress to town council chambers, do everything in their power to ensure that Americans live in communities free from the fear of mass shootings and the everyday carnage that gun violence causes.

Please join us and our allies at CREDO, and add your name to the petition demanding Congress Act!

Next we must get ready to organize, mobilize and turnout in 2018 like never before to vote the gun lobby out of office. We agree with the New York Times Editorial Board “The N.R.A. Can be Beat.”  And they must!

Please sign the petition today!

P.S.  We are also part of an ongoing campaign to stop the sale of assault weapons that end up fueling bloodshed and violence across the border in Mexico. You can learn more about our fiscally sponsored project here.
