Global Exchange is happy to announce the launch of our new podcast, Global X!

Podcasting is a new medium for us to explore, and we are excited to get it off the ground. It will add a fresh layer of unique storytelling plus analysis of global events to our existing blogs, e-blasts, newsletters and other content pieces.

Global X is where politics and travel intersect. Each episode will highlight a specific country around the world – we’ll start off first by looking at a recent political or social development taking place in that particular country, and transition from there into a storytelling piece: hearing from people on the ground and unique stories you may not otherwise hear about. The goal is to highlight voices from around the world – people doing amazing things, running projects or organizations, or just original stories that you may not hear elsewhere.

That said, we invite you to listen to our first two inaugural episodes, both looking at Cuba. Based on the long and deep relationship Global Exchange has built with Cuba, and the recent US policy changes announced by President Trump in June, it seemed an apt place to kick things off.  We hope you will also share with your own personal networks!

You can find these first episodes – and all future ones – here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/global-x/id1274799281.

In these first two episodes we discuss Trump’s changes in US-Cuba policy and what it means for US travelers and ordinary Cubans. We also welcome in a very special guest visiting from Cuba, Mirna Dickson, who runs an organization in Havana called MirArte DiaDia, which uses art as a vehicle for advancing social justice in Cuba.

Lastly, please leave us a review and rating on iTunes! (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/global-x/id1274799281) The more reviews and ratings we get, the more visibility our podcast will receive and the more we can broadcast these messages of hope, struggle, resistance, solidarity and pursuit of social justice around the world.

We hope you enjoy!
