President Trump used the international stage at the United Nations this week to ask the world to adopt his vision of racist nationalism, hostile borders, and unregulated, climate-killing capitalism.
To put it mildly, we don’t agree.
Global Exchange has always stood for a vision of one world and a global future that works for all people — not just the rich and powerful.
We know it won’t be easy to create a future in which human rights are respected universally, our climate and fragile ecosystems are protected, and where people live in peace.
And we know it will take people and movements from across the globe working together to get there.
That’s why we have dedicated ourselves to building people-to-people ties at home and around the world for the last 30 years.
We invite you to travel with us now to keep the vision and struggle for a kind and just world alive. Meeting people in other countries and discovering our mutual loves and interests is an important antidote to Trump’s ugly and dangerous nationalism.
Since 1988 our Reality Tours program has worked to unite people and movements around the world. We have organized travel for tens of thousands of Americans — to meet, speak with, and learn from people and movements working for peace, justice, human rights, and the defense of nature — in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
Right now, even as Trump goes global with his ugly message to the United Nations, we have delegations on the ground in Cuba and Iran building friendships, dissolving misconceptions, and establishing solidarity with communities working for peace and a brighter and more connected future for all of us.
Please help us build bridges not walls. Travel with us!
We have open delegations planned to Cuba, Ecuador, Nepal, Vietnam, Mexico, and other destinations in the coming year. As always, we design our itineraries to provide maximum opportunity to meet people, communities, and movements working for environmental justice, peace, and the rights of workers, women, and nature.
You will meet extraordinary people and have an experience that can open your life to new possibilities.
Come on a Reality Tour with us. Help us build the more-beautiful future we know is possible.
In solidarity,
All of us t Global Exchange
