Democracy Dinner: Building A Pro-Democracy movement w/ Lessons from Guatemala, Mexico and Colombia

Wanting to get involved in Philly but don’t know where to start? Join us at the Philadelphia Ethical Society for a face-to-face dinner conversation on how we can defend AND rejuvenate democracy, from the local to the global. 

Three activists from Mexico, Guatemala and Colombia will join us at the Philadelphia Ethical Society to share their stories and lessons learned from fighting for democracy: Mynor Alonzo, Guatemalan political analyst, strategist, and co-founder of FOCO; Dayana Mosquera, Global Exchange consultant in Colombia; and Alberto Solís Castro, Mexican peacebuilder and human rights specialist. 

After an initial discussion with the panelists we will have small-group conversations over dinner led by ambassadors from the local organizations, including Domestic Workers Alliance, Committee of 70, Young Involved Philadelphia and many more.
