Blog Policy

Global Exchange Blog Comment Policy
Global Exchange welcomes blog comments and encourages transparent dialogue about the issues we blog about. To ensure that comments enhance and not detract from our blogs, Global Exchange has a formal blog comment policy.

Are Comments Moderated?
In order to maintain the integrity of the Global Exchange blogs and its contents, all comments, trackbacks and pingbacks posted to Global Exchange blogs are moderated. So when you leave a comment, it will not be published right away. Comments are usually approved within 24 hours but can take up to 3 business days to appear.

Maximum comment length
There is no exact limit to the amount of words a blog comment may have, though you are encouraged to keep it under 200 words. If you have more to say, consider posting a blog post on your own so you have ample room to express your views, and track back to the original post that inspired your post.

Respectful comments welcomed
Please be respectful in tone and language when you comment. Whether you agree or disagree with a blog post, we encourage all views that are respectfully written. Please avoid harsh language and the use of profanity. Inflammatory or threatening language is not allowed and will not be tolerated.

Are blog comments edited?
Global Exchange reserves the right to edit or delete blog comments at the organization’s discretion. Circumstances when a comment may be edited or deleted include: use of offensive or disrespectful language, blatant self-promotion, obvious misspellings and/or grammatical errors, and outbursts or tirades.

Global Exchange will not attempt to alter the core meaning of a comment.

Changes to Global Exchange Blog Comment Policy
Global Exchange reserves the right to make changes to its Blog Comment Policy at any time. All Blog Post Policy changes will be published online.
