Alto a la Persecución de Migrantes: Un Llamado Contra la Violencia Estatal y en Defensa de los Derechos Humanos / Stop the Persecution of Migrants: A Call to End State Violence and Defend Human Rights
Las organizaciones e individuos firmantes expresamos rechazo a las acciones violentas del Gobierno de los Estados Unidos, por medio del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional, en contra de la población migrante y en contra de aquellos que defienden sus derechos.
Sin ningún respeto a sus derechos migratorios, civiles ni humanos, personas migrantes que hasta hace dos semanas contaban con protección migratoria hoy están siendo perseguidas como criminales, detenidas bajo engaños, dentro y fuera de las cortes de migración, separando familias y aterrorizando a toda la población.
El Gobierno de Estados Unidos debe detener estas acciones de forma inmediata y dedicarse a asegurar el respeto a los derechos de todas las personas, particularmente de las más vulnerables.
En un país fundado y sostenido por migrantes, estas medidas, bajo el pretexto de la seguridad nacional, le dan la espalda a quienes son la columna vertebral de la economía del país y reflejan el uso de la violencia y el racismo como el sello de una administración que opera en contra de los principios democráticos más básicos.
Continuar con estas acciones abrirá una brecha que dividirá y dañará irreparablemente la relación entre las comunidades migrantes, sus familias y sus países de origen con el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos y no representa la voluntad de la mayoría del país.

The undersigned organizations and individuals reject the violent actions of the United States government, specifically through the Department of Homeland Security, against migrant communities and those who defend their rights.
Migrants who, until recently, had legal protection to reside in the country are now being persecuted as criminals. They are detained under false pretenses, both inside and outside immigration courts, with no regard for their immigration, civil, or human rights. These actions are tearing families apart and terrorizing entire communities.
The United States government must stop these attacks immediately and commit itself to upholding the Constitution and protecting the rights of all people, especially the most vulnerable.
While claiming to protect national security, this administration is inflicting real harm on migrant communities by criminalizing and dehumanizing people whose labor sustains the nation.
These actions do not represent the will of the majority. Continuing down this path will irreparably divide and damage the relationship between migrant communities, their families, their countries of origin, and the United States.
