@mx_240-2One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. Join V-Day along with Anne Hathaway, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and others on 2.14.13 and do something about it.

Valentines Day (V-Day) has become an annual call to end violence against women. Inspired by the feedback for Eve Ensler’s play The Vagina Monologues, the day marks a time to recognize and fight back against the violence.

In 2010, more than 5,400 V-Day events took place in over 1,500 locations in the U.S. and around the world and to date, the V-Day movement has raised over $80 million and educated millions about the issue of violence against women.

This year on V-Day’s 15th Anniversary, ONE BILLION women and those who love them are urged to WALK OUT, DANCE, RISE UP, and DEMAND an end to the violence.  V-Day wants the world to see our collective strength, our numbers and our solidarity across borders.

One Billion Rising is a global strike, an invitation to dance, a call to men and women to refuse to participate in the status quo until rape and rape culture ends.

ONE BILLION WOMEN VIOLATED IS AN ATROCITY. ONE BILLION WOMEN DANCING IS A REVOLUTION
