In Doctor Katherine Stockmann's hometown, a natural gas boom lifts the economy, but she soon discovers it comes at a horrible human cost. One woman's sincere search for the answers brings on a personal battle over the truth. Citizens must choose between their lives and their livelihoods, Katherine between justice and her own family.
