“Forward, Not Back—Reproductive Justice for All!” Rally!
Justin Herman Plaza

“Forward, Not Back—Reproductive Justice for All!” rally and counter-demonstration, Saturday, January 19th, 2008, at 10:30 am. Gather at Justin Herman Plaza with reproductive justice banners and posters.
National and local feminist and community activists are convening a broad-based “Forward, Not Back—Reproductive Justice for All!” peaceful rally and counter-protest in response to the forth annual “Walk for Life—West Coast” march in San Francisco on January 19, 2008. We will be meeting at Justin Herman Plaza. Commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States, pro-choice advocates—joined by representatives from the immigrant, labor, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender, disability, people of color and youth communities—will line the anti-abortionists’ march route to denounce escalating assaults on reproductive freedom, civil liberties, and women’s health by religious fundamentalists and governmental policies.

Initiated by the Bay Area Coalition for Our Reproductive Rights (BACORR), endorsers of the January 19th actions include: Law Students for Reproductive Justice; Not in Our Name – Bay Area; CodePink; Radical Women; Latin American Alliance for Immigrant Rights (ALDI); the World Can\\\\\\\'t Wait Campaign; United Auto Workers, Local 2103; University Professional and Technical Employees CWA 9119; Women\\\\\\\'s Choice Clinic; Freedom Socialist Party; Gabriella Network; Green Party; Haiti Action Committee; The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence; Raging Grannies Action League; Lusty Lady, SEIU local 1021; California Nurses Association; Green Party; Our City; SF NOW; Young Workers United; Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence; among others!

Please join us to demand more rights, not fewer! Forward, not back -- Reproductive Justice For All!
