Training Haiti’s Next Generation of Doctors & Nurses

After the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, the unsanitary practices of UN soldiers caused an outbreak of cholera. The severity of this crisis has been increased by the shortage of Haitian doctors and nurses.

The goal of the University of Aristide Foundation (UNIFA) is to educate low-income Haitian students to become these desperately needed medical professionals.

Featuring: Pierre Labossiere (Haiti Action Committee), Walter Turner (Global Exchange), Walter Riley (National Lawyers Guild’s 2013 Champion of Justice), Richard Boswell (Professor of Law, UC Hastings), Leslie Fleming (UNIFA), Vukani Mawethu Choir

Tickets sold at the door, from $5 -$15 for youth, and from $15 and up for adults
All proceeds from this event will be donated to UNIFA.

You can make a tax-deductible donation online at: AristideFoundationForDemocracy.org. Click the Donate button under Support UNIFA.

Your support for UNIFA and solidarity with the Haitian people is critical to overcoming the cholera crisis.
