In recognition of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Task Force on the Americas presents three documentary films about migrants, our current civil and human rights struggle. The program will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 9 Ross Valley Drive (at Fourth Street), San Rafael on Saturday, January 19.

The first film, Precious Knowledge, about students and teachers at the front line of a civil rights battle, will screen at 5:15 PM, followed by a low-cost Solidarity Supper at 6:30 PM. At 7 PM Bay Area filmmaker Theo Rigby will introduce his film Sin Pais, featuring a Novato family separated by deportation. The last film of the evening, Which Way Home, is about the plight of unaccompanied migrant children traveling to the US on a freight train, and will be shown at 8 PM.

A sliding-scale donation of $10-20 will cover all three films.

                                               The supper is extra.

Doors open at 5 PM. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
