Roaster

Java City offers a wide range of coffees, including light, medium, dark roasted and flavored coffees, and new Certified Fair Trade selections. Our story begins in 1985, when a trio of young entrepreneurs opened the first Java City coffeehouse in an old brick building near the State Capitol in Sacramento, California, and began roasting their own beans. It didn't take long for a diverse crowd of discriminating coffee lovers to gather each day and enjoy the rich, intense aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. Word of Java City quickly spread, and before long we were opening new coffeehouses and wholesaling our coffee all over the country. We've come a long way, but we are proud to say that we are still the same company at heart. To this day, we roast the highest grade Arabica coffee beans by hand, slowly and with great care. Java City offers a wide range of coffees, including light, medium, dark roasted and flavored coffees, and new Certified Fair Trade selections.
