Challenges to the Cuba Travel Ban!

This summer, Pastors for Peace (IFCO), will celebrate its 20th anniversary of challenging the embargo by driving another Friendship Caravan of humanitarian aid from the U.S., across Mexico, and on to Cuba, via ship and air, without applying for a license. The Venceremos Brigade will celebrate its 40th year of challenging the embargo by organizing its "brigadistas" to travel to Cuba for two weeks of work, study and enjoyment of Cuban society. Both groups will return to the U.S. on August 3 and encounter whatever the U.S. government has in store for them this time. We encourage our members to be "on alert" that day to flood the Congress and the White House with emails and calls, if any of the caravanistas or brigadistas are harrassed or detained.

We will be updating this alert regularly once their challenges begin.

For more information on each these travel challenges, check out our Links page and scroll down through the names of the organizations, listed in alphabetical order.
