We at Global Exchange hope to empower U.S. citizens to engage in US/Cuba foreign policy issues by organizing educational and cultural delegations to Cuba; by providing informational resources through our website and legislative actions; by sponsoring Cuba educational and cultural events; and by linking people interested in shifting U.S. foreign policy through our on-line community. We provide concrete ways to establish networks of scientists, professionals, students, organizations and regular U.S. citizens within the US and Cuba as a strategy toward the normalization of relations.

Currently our program concentrates on four thematic areas: Environment, Education, Healthcare and Community Development. We offer the following travel opportunities:

  • Organizing research delegations on various topics
  • Customized tours for humanitarian organizations, educational institutions and religious groups with a license that need program and logistical support
  • We provide informational resources and guidance for organizations, educational institutions and religious groups who are interested in acquiring a license

Is it Legal to Travel to Cuba?

Global Exchange facilitates legal travel to Cuba for groups with their own specific license, for individuals who fall under the general licensing categories of OFAC and for individuals traveling under a humanitarian/religious license.
