Global Exchange's Open House

Celebrating 20 Years of Activism and Change!

REPORT BACK FROM
OUR ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE, MAY 8th, 2009
IN CELEBRATION OF 20 YEARS OF
GLOBAL EXCHANGE ACTIVISM & WORLD FAIR TRADE DAY

On May 8th, we celebrated 20 years of Global Exchange at our San Francisco offices, honoring all of you—our friends, supporters, donors, and volunteers!

We also joined tens-of-thousands around the world in celebrating World Fair Trade Day. Together, we tasted justice while enjoying a Fair Trade chocolate treat! Check out the photos above.

We're so proud of what we've accomplished with your support!

But you know we can't just look back, there's too much work to do. As Kevin Danaher and Kirsten Moller said that day,

"There is a unique window of opportunity to achieve the change WE WANT; change from models of resource extraction and human degradation to one of community and connection. We can and will build a new Green Economy that sustains the environment. We can and will free ourselves from our addiction to oil. We can and will prioritize peace, not war, in America's foreign policy. We can and will close the gap between rich and poor. Together, we have the power to create the world we want. With you, we know we can."

We're ready to get to work, but we need your continued support. It has never been as important as right now. CLICK HERE to donate to Global Exchange, and to support our continued commitment to resist injustice, envision alternatives, and take action.
