Delhi

The trip will begin and end in Delhi, with the last few days including a 2-Day Gandhi Legacy, day-trip to the spectacular Taj Mahal and attending a classical Indian dance show. The Gandhi Legacy tour gives you the rare honor of being led by Mahatma Gandhi's great-grandson, Tushar Arun Gandhi. The Spiti trip starts in Manali and takes you over the majestic Rohtang and Kunzum passes and through the stunning and graphic valleys of the Chandra, Spiti and Pin rivers in Himachal Pradesh. In the first few days, we will take in the amazing sights and get acclimatized to the altitude. We will then 'safari' to different parts of the Spiti valley, visit Ecosphere's various Eco-tourism activities, and participate in the unique dance and art forms of the region. Five different dance forms will be showcased on 3 different occasions during which we will get an insight into the culture and religions practices of this unique community as well as get the opportunity wherever possible to join and be a part of the festivities.
